After completing a 5 year apprenticeship in air conditioning I have continued to work a further 31 Years in the HVAC business. I have worked in most areas of the HVAC business including sales and technical roles. Working for some of the best known and most popular brands sold around the world today. Over the last 15 years I have been training students of all ages in service/ design / installation of air conditioning and heat pump systems of all types. I look forward to seeing you on one of our courses soon.

Andrew Templeman

Andrew joined us in September 2025 as a contract trainer in the south island.

Andrew brings a wealth of experience in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) industry, with a career spanning over three decades. He began his journey with EHS, working on everything from residential and light commercial systems to heavy-duty industrial projects, including retubing ammonia condensers and overhauling large-scale Howden and Hall screw compressors.

Since 1992, Andrew has worked as an independent contractor, gaining extensive experience with tower refrigeration units and refrigerated containers at the port. For over a decade, he specialised in Toshiba heat pumps, and for two years, he honed his skills in general HVAC with Radcliffe Electrical.

In addition to his diverse background, Andrew is experienced in modern, environmentally-friendly solutions. He is skilled in A3 refrigerant conversions using natural refrigerants and has significant experience with hydronic heating and cooling systems, including underfloor heating and ducted fan coil units (FCUs). His expertise in these areas will be a valuable asset to our clients seeking sustainable and efficient climate control solutions.

Heat Pump Installers Course: 2024 ------------- I did the 3-day heat pump installer course and it was the best decision I ever made. I learnt a lot about how to safely and properly install air con units. I found the reasons for why we do what we do and what happens if you don't do what you're supposed to do.. I also learnt the proper process and the right way to install. Jason is very knowledgeable and experienced tutor. He is absolutely amazing. Very Very highly recommended for beginners or even someone who have had not so much hands on experience with air con.
